Provanol SR

Provanol SR is a beta-blocker, prescribed for high blood pressure and chest pain. It is also used to prevent migraine headaches and recurrence of heart attacks. It works by relaxing blood vessels. Take Provanol SR with or with out food. Do no stop using this medication suddenly. This may cause your condition worse. For better results follow diet and exercise. Dose of the Provanol SR is depends on the condition to be treated. For hypertension the initial dose is 40 mg twice a day and maintenance dose is 120 to 240 mg a day. Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop Provanol SR. Talk with the doctor. Common side effects of Provanol SR are lightheadedness, mental depression, sleeplessness, weakness, fatigue, visual disturbances, hallucinations, vivid dreams, memory loss, emotional lability, fatigue, lethargy and vivid dreams. Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
